About Phillip
Phillip
and his wife,
Constance, live in rural Thailand. They married while traveling in
India. He finds her attractive
because she has her Masters and works for this foundation helping these children. She
finds him attractive because he writes clean,
concise copy, and nurses a quiet disdain for passive
voice. Phillip earned his journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He's published more than 350 clips for publications like the Austin American-Statesman, the Houston Chronicle, Exec Digital Magazine and more. He's worked as an editor, reporter, columnist and page designer. He's earned recognition from groups like the Society of Professional Journalists and Columbia Scholastic Press Association, even though he doesn't remember writing one of the winning stories.
The Thailand experiment began when Constance earned her Masters from the LBJ School of Public Policy in Austin. The pair had worked together with an educational development organization in the Dominican Republic in 2007, and immediately made plans for continued globe trotting non-profit work. Looking for realistic funds for this idealistic life, Phillip began transferring his journalism skills into new mediums, establishing a professional writing and editing business that could be run full-time from anywhere in the world (Phillip would like to thank the Internet, especially such digital descendants as Skype and Vonage, for its exceptionally enabling existence).
Phillip and Constance get to travel. Girls get to stay in school. Clients get innovative and effective writing and editing solutions. Everybody wins.
The first stop is Thailand, and from there Phillip offers an impressive array of services (basically, anything that involves writing, editing or research). He's accurate and flexible, client-centric and seasoned on deadline. His editing experience fostered in him a deep understanding of the necessity and power of the effective communication his clients depend upon and demand.
So join them in this journey, and contact Phillip with any questions.
